Nick Short founded Educreates after over 15 years in Education, he was a Principal of a 3-18 Academy Trust and had experience in school leadership as well as education capital build programmes. Nick has worked extensively in the education sector in London and the West of England. This consultancy was established as a result of a growing need in the education sector for specialist leadership support and advice. Educreates uses experienced Headteachers in schools to support, coach and guide leaders to help them make their institutions stronger. The organisation also specialises in developing world class capital build programmes. We work extensively with architects, construction companies, local authorities and school leaders in new school construction. The consultancy supports from the outset with vision development and provides guidance throughout all RIBA stages. The consultancy is currently providing the lead educationalist on the largest capital build programme in Wales.

Amy is a qualified teacher, working as an independent SEND Consultant, who is passionate about working with people with additional learning needs. Amy is experienced in supporting schools through both training and setting design to ensure that learners and practitioners can deliver outstanding experiences. Amy will ensure that professionals have the correct knowledge and skillsets to provide enjoyable and accessible experiences for young people. Amy has experience in working in an international setting to deliver SEN building design that supports learners in achieving their very best potential whilst supporting their additional need requirements.
Jo is a school leader with over 30 years experience in the education sector within Wales. She has worked in some of the most economically disadvantaged schools in South Wales and has developed expertise in change management, improving standards and driving excellence particularly within Post 16 education.
Jo lead the vision development for the brand new Fitzalan 11-18 High School in Cardiff and worked closely with Cardiff County Council throughout all RIBA stages. Jo managed each stage of the process for the school ensuring that the vision, aspiration and ethos was reflected in every aspect of the building.
Jo has worked as an education consultant within Cardiff Council on subsequent new build projects most recently Fairwater Community Campus (Occupation Jan & Sept 2026) and Willows High School (Occupation due October 2026).
